Ronald Matarrita has been named to CONCACAF’s Best XI of 2016. The left-back was recognized with a place in the best team of the year following an outstanding debut season with NYCFC. Matarrita is one of only two Major League Soccer player on the list after the 22-year old played a huge role for club and country. For NYCFC, Matarrita featured in 25 games in 2016 and earned the team’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
